Aspire Community Trust

building a better future

Welcome to the Aspire Community Trust

I am delighted to welcome you to our website and to introduce you to the Aspire Community Trust. This is a new Trust established in October 2017 and one that was founded to make a difference to children's lives; enabling all schools, and children and staff within them, to strive to be the very best they can be. Every day is an opportunity to be better than the last.

Currently there are seven schools in the Trust - 5 Primary schools, one Infant school and one Secondary school serving in total around 3,000 pupils. We are as ambitious for the staff as we are for the pupils who are in our schools; we strive for excellence in all we do. We make every second count and every moment matter.

There are more than 50 languages spoken as a first language in our schools and with this comes cultural diversity and richness. We recognise and celebrate diversity within our schools and within our Trust. We appreciate our differences and use these diverse perspectives, lifestyles and backgrounds to drive innovation and support excellence for all. Together we have more in common than we have differences. Our differences are not barriers – they are open doors to success for all.

Unlike Academy trusts our schools remain autonomous bodies with their own Governing bodies and their own Headteachers. They also remain as maintained schools within the Local Authority.

The curriculum and ethos of the Schools will place an emphasis on, and include a commitment to learners learning about Co-operative Values and

Principles, with the aim of encouraging all learners to become better citizens, not only while they are learners but throughout their lives.

We aspire to both academic excellence and helping all stakeholders – especially children – to better themselves as individuals and to be both responsible and respectful members of the community for now and the rest of their lives.

I am proud to be the Chair of the Aspire Community Trust and am excited to watch it grow as a 'family' of schools that will further enhance and develop each individual school. It’s an exciting time and, as a Trust, we plan to be innovative, creative and committed to working together to ensure that every child can fulfil their potential in each of our schools.

I hope that you enjoy your visit to our website, and that you find the information you are looking for.
